Critical Infrastructure

Critical infrastructure is any industry needed to keep our society moving forward. These industries have the unique challenge of operating non-stop while maintaining services and avoiding downtime. Physical security and preventing bad actors from causing damage or contamination of the infrastructure are top priorities. However, security technology can also help with worker safety, efficiency, and reporting.   

The US Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency identifies 16 critical infrastructure sectors whose assets, systems, and networks are considered vital to society. Their incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on national economic security, public health or safety, or any combination.  

Each of these sectors has their own regulations and challenges when addressing safety and security.
